New Year, New Blog…host

I’m trying out WordPress. I gave it a test drive a while back…and then abandoned it. But here I am giving it another go. 

We’re having a beautiful winter. Plenty of snow for cross country skiing, which I do, and snow shoeing, which I don’t do. Tom’s favorite winter activity is plowing the driveway with his Kubota, feeding the birds, and walking on the treadmill inside the cozy warm house.

The local schools had a day off and I took the neighbor girls ice skating. It was their first time, and I was tickled pink with how well they took to it — until a few days later when I saw Audrey’s bruised knees. You might say she skated with complete abandon…

They both started out with the help of gliders, but Audrey let go of hers after 10 minutes and did great — both skating and mopping up the ice. Bridget chose the safer route and whipped around the rink like a champ on trailing wheels.

So when I asked if it was fun…and worth the pain…I got a thumbs up!

   I don’t know about them, but I can’t wait to go again.
